2nd Chapter Of Acts & Phil Keaggy How The West Was One (1977)
One of the highlights of the 70's in Christian music was to experience a live concert by the 2nd Chapter Of Acts. So it was only natural that 2nd Chapter would release not only one but two live albums during the 70's.
How The West Was One brought together the talents of Ann Herring, Nelly and Matthew Ward with guitar virtuoso Phil Keaggy and musicians Peter York and A Band Called David. During the summer of 1977, this troup performed their songs in 18 western U.S. cities and this album is the result.
From the tight three part harmony of Ann, Nellie and Matthew, to the cranking guitar solos of Keaggy, this nicely recorded concert album is still considered one of the finest live Christian albums ever. If you own the vinyl, you'll want the crystal clear sound of this remastered album on two CDs.
No telling how long this one will stay in print.
So pick one up while you can!
